Pet Members

Noctis
Assistant Lab Manager
Noctis oversees the lab's pet research projects and facilitates the work of our graduate pet researchers. He's particularly interested in the study of social hierarchy across species and he will meow about it to anyone who steps within five feet of him as he is a self-declared "expert" on the topic. When he's not busy meowing about his research interests, his hobbies include napping all day, getting the zoomies at exactly 11pm every night, chewing on plants, and attempting to play his owner's guitar.

Caboose
Graduate Student
Caboose is interested in studying self-serving deception tactics from a canine perspective. How can I downplay my “quirks” so my foster mom will adopt me? How sick do I need to act to get rice instead of kibble, but not go to the vet? Of course, Caboose is not just a great liar— she is also particularly interested in how she can be the most loyal companion to her pawrents and her grandpaws. Caboose went to Harvard undergrad on a full scholarship, studied under Jean Piaget in graduate school, and wins the MacArthur Genius Grant every year.

Harley
Graduate Student
Harley is a sixth-year gastronomy major at the University of Canine Delinquents. Due to her unusually anxious disposition, she has been the subject of many psychological studies, most notably, “Barking at ghosts: Trembling uncontrollably in the absence of measurable environmental stimuli.” When she isn’t eating things she shouldn’t, she enjoys running in circles, chewing on sticks, and licking her paws incessantly. She’s passionate about the DIBS lab and would lay down her life for each and every member five minutes after first meeting them. While she is internationally recognized for her exceptionally glossy coat, she prefers to be recognized for her loyalty to her Delinquent peers and her "prosocial" reputation among them.
